Environmental Specialist (Tier 2)

About the role

Fluor is seeking an Environmental Specialist (Tier 2) to provide functional, technical, and administrative support within the Environmental function. The role contributes to waste management, pollution prevention, permitting assistance, and overall environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Support environmental policies and procedures, including waste management, pollution prevention, and waste minimization.
• Assist with permitting, hazardous materials compliance, UST/AST compliance, and air and water regulatory issues.
• Contribute to environmental management system aspects and general environmental tasks.
• Participate in training, audit activities, and regulatory compliance verification.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and interpret environmental data.
• Provide HAZMAT response support, fieldwork, and hazardous waste transportation assistance.
• Perform administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Technical (2‑year) degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• 4–7 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and any specialized applications needed for the role.
• Intermediate English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• 40‑hour Hazardous Waste Operations (Hazwoper) certification with annual recertification.
• Authorization to work in the country of employment.
