Exhibition Sales Executive

About the role

Montgomery Group Africa is launching a new industrial B2B exhibition targeting East Africa’s manufacturing and industrial sectors. Based in Nairobi, the Exhibition Sales Executive will be responsible for bringing the event to market by recruiting exhibitors across the region and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new exhibitor sales through proactive outbound business development.
• Identify, qualify and engage prospective exhibitors in mining, agro‑processing and industrial technology.
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline using cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking and referrals.
• Conduct virtual and face‑to‑face sales meetings and present the exhibition’s value proposition.
• Negotiate participation agreements and secure signed contracts.
• Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts and pipeline information in HubSpot CRM.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to convert enquiries into exhibitors.
• Attend industry events and provide market intelligence, competitor insights and customer feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of B2B sales or business development experience.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with senior decision‑makers and thriving in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
