Farm Hand

About the role

The Farm Hand will support daily poultry operations in a fast‑paced farm environment. You will ensure birds receive proper feed and water, maintain clean housing, and help uphold bio‑security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Feed poultry according to established schedules and provide clean drinking water.
• Clean poultry houses, equipment, and dispose of waste safely.
• Monitor bird health, report abnormalities, and support vaccination and medication programs.
• Observe and enforce bio‑security procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving, transferring, and handling birds humanely.
• Record daily farm activities, feed and water consumption, and report equipment faults promptly.
• Support inventory management of farm supplies and assist during maintenance tasks.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum KCSE Certificate; agricultural certificate is an advantage.
• Preferably some experience in poultry farming or animal handling.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in shift patterns.
• High integrity, teamwork orientation, and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Animal handling and basic record‑keeping.
• Physical stamina for manual tasks.
• Ability to follow safety and bio‑security protocols.
