Farm Lead

About the role

The Farm Lead will drive Lusoi Hill Farm towards a high‑output, data‑driven operation. You will be responsible for maximizing egg production, ensuring flock health, and upholding strict bio‑security standards on a commercial layer bird farm.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily layer bird operations, focusing on egg yield and optimal Feed Conversion Ratios.
• Implement and enforce bio‑security protocols, manage vaccination schedules, and coordinate with veterinary services.
• Maintain real‑time digital records of mortality, feed consumption, egg collection, and expenses using internal BI systems.
• Supervise and mentor a team of farm casuals, ensuring hygiene, labor efficiency, and compliance with SOPs.
• Manage inventory of feed, supplements, and equipment to prevent operational downtime.
• Support strategic flock expansion and circular‑economy initiatives such as waste‑to‑fertilizer projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in layer poultry production or similar farming environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a small workforce.
• Strong understanding of bio‑security measures and flock health management.
• Experience with data collection and basic business intelligence tools.
