Global Chief People Officer

About the role

The Global Chief People Officer will lead the worldwide people function for a Christian NGO, overseeing talent, leadership, culture and organisational design to support the mission at scale. This senior executive role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution across employees and contractors in multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Build a coherent, high‑performing global organisation while respecting local legal and cultural realities.
• Advise the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Board on talent, succession, culture, organisational health and people risk.
• Own global people frameworks, standards and outcomes in partnership with CFO, COO, Legal and regional leaders.
• Strengthen talent acquisition, leadership capability, performance accountability, workforce planning and succession depth.
• Develop scalable people operations, systems, policies, analytics and controls for a distributed workforce.
• Oversee compensation, stewardship, people data and risk management.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive people‑leadership experience, including enterprise‑level responsibility in a complex, distributed organisation.
• Proven success recruiting senior global talent, building succession depth and establishing performance accountability.
• Broad experience across talent acquisition, organisational development, employee relations, compensation, people operations, workforce planning and HR technology/analytics.
• Experience managing multi‑country workforces with mixed engagement models (employees, contractors, EORs, partners).
• Background in a global Christian/faith‑based, nonprofit, fintech, financial‑services, technology or other mission‑driven environment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to counsel CEOs, ELTs and Boards on succession, executive talent, compensation, culture and organisational design.
