Head of Road Freight – Kenya

About the role

The Head of Road Freight will lead DHL Kenya’s road freight business, shaping strategy, driving growth and ensuring high‑quality service delivery across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the road freight product strategy, including new value‑added services.
• Manage relationships with major global customers and drive commercial performance.
• Oversee cross‑border routing, leveraging deep geographical knowledge.
• Lead market intelligence activities and negotiate key contracts.
• Guide and mentor the road freight team to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the logistics industry.
• At least 5 years in product management or value‑added services.
• Proven senior management experience, especially in road freight and forwarding.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer‑centric solution design.
