HR Business Partner – Tech Company Experience Required

About the role

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will lead talent and people initiatives for a technology-focused organization in Nairobi. You will act as a strategic advisor, ensuring HR practices align with business goals while supporting a multicultural workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive talent management including planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and career development.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline, design performance and incentive frameworks, and support team capacity building.
• Maintain employee relations, address concerns, and champion the company culture locally.
• Ensure HR operations comply with Kenyan labor laws and internal policies, and develop compensation, benefits, attendance, and leave systems.
• Collaborate with local and international stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
• Handle day‑to‑day office administrative HR tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HRBP or in a similar role.
• Proven recruitment expertise and experience managing cross‑cultural teams.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
• Prior experience with Chinese‑owned companies is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor regulations, compensation design, and talent management strategies.
