About the role
The HR & Corporate Affairs Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the human resources and corporate affairs functions of a leading hospitality and tour operator. You will ensure smooth HR processes, maintain statutory compliance, and assist with community and conservancy initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain employee records, HR databases, and support recruitment, onboarding, and induction.
- Monitor attendance, leave, and statutory compliance (SHIF/NHIF, NSSF, PAYE).
- Assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures and performance appraisal cycles.
- Prepare and update corporate records, contracts, permits, licenses, and insurance documents.
- Liaise with regulators, legal advisors, county authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate CSR activities, community engagement, sponsorships, bursaries, and outreach projects.
- Maintain conservancy lease records, landowner registers, and support reporting for conservancy operations.
Required profile
- Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, administration, compliance, CSR or related support roles.
- Good understanding of the Kenyan Employment Act and other labour laws.
- Experience in tour and safari companies or community engagement is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using HR Information Systems (HRIS).
