Hydrogeology Advisor

About the role

The Hydrogeology Advisor will provide expert technical advice and design support for hydrogeology and applied geology projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the role involves supervising junior staff, solving complex groundwater challenges, and contributing to sustainable water management strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist technical advice and design support in hydrogeology, guiding the team through geological and geomorphological challenges.
• Collaborate with the WASH team and stakeholders on data collection, modelling, and timely reporting of project progress.
• Coach and train project personnel in hydrogeological modelling for design, planning, and monitoring purposes.
• Ensure high‑quality knowledge management, including archiving of work and dissemination of best practices.
• Assist the Senior Project Manager with technical supervision and coordination of hydrogeological components during implementation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 7 years (84 months) of experience in hydrogeology or applied geology.
• Proven ability to supervise junior staff and provide technical leadership.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
