Cashew Extension & Aggregation Officer (Fixed-term)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Extension and Aggregation Officer to run a cashew buying centre on Kenya’s coast, aggregating raw cashew nuts and creating market access for smallholder farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the buying centre during scheduled hours, keeping it clean, organised and secure.
• Handle, dry, store and weigh raw cashew nuts (RCN) according to Tupande SOPs, ensuring accurate aggregation and quality control.
• Process payments through FieldPro, comply with KRA/eTIMS regulations and raise any disputes or irregularities.
• Deliver agronomic training to farmers, communicate purchase and quality requirements, and conduct field visits with reporting.
• Interview farmers and brokers, record data using digital tools, and flag data‑quality issues.
• Coordinate logistics with loaders, the Tupande logistics team and supervisors to schedule RCN collection.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented and able to work independently in a field environment.
• Experience or familiarity with agricultural commodity handling and farmer engagement.
