IT Event Management Engineer

About the role

The IT Event Management Engineer will design, implement, and continuously improve global event detection and alerting systems. This role ensures proactive identification and resolution of IT issues across hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments, helping the organization shift from reactive firefighting to predictive service assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain event ingestion pipelines from multiple sources.
• Develop and tune correlation rules to reduce noise and improve alert relevance.
• Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms for automated incident creation.
• Build dashboards and analytics to visualize event trends and service health.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and service‑management teams to standardise best practices.
• Drive automation of event workflows using scripting and configuration‑as‑code.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification (higher ITIL levels a plus).
• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, monitoring or event management.
• Proven experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as OpsBridge, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch or Site24x7.
• Hands‑on experience with automation/scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
• Exposure to hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments.
