Junior Designer – Property Management & Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking a creative Junior Designer to support our property management and hospitality projects in Nairobi. You will work closely with design and sales teams to develop furniture and interior concepts, using both CAD software and hand sketches.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and sales teams to study briefs and determine requirements.
• Generate sample designs using CAD software and hand sketches where necessary.
• Prepare detailed furniture production drawings using Archicad or SketchUp.
• Apply appropriate colours, layouts, and specifications to match product descriptions.
• Revise drawings based on client feedback.
• Support the production team to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Maintain product knowledge from the company catalogue and monitor emerging design trends.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Lead Designer or management.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a woodworking, furniture, fit‑out workshop or timber manufacturing environment.
• Strong drawing skills and visual awareness.
• Ability to work methodically, meet deadlines and manage workload effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Open to female candidates only.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer‑aided design (CAD).
• Knowledge of Archicad modelling.
• Experience with SketchUp.
