Maintenance Engineer (Electrical)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team in Nairobi. The role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime and ensuring safe, efficient operation of all electrical assets within our manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breakdown maintenance repairs as directed by the Production Manager, prioritising urgent issues.
• Analyse root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance according to the annual plan.
• Manage spare‑part requisition, inventory levels and documentation for local and international supplies.
• Support the Energy Manager in monitoring energy consumption, ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations, and maintaining main and sub‑power boards.
• Coordinate with contractors for utility servicing, repairs and documentation.
• Maintain a manual management system and oversee the LOTOTO safety system.
• Keep the workshop, engineering stores and work environment clean and organized, and dispose of engineering waste properly.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• Senior‑level professional with a proven track record in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause investigation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.
