Manager – Dining, Recreation & Entertainment (Jake’s Place)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a dedicated Manager to lead Jake’s Place, the premier dining, recreation and entertainment hub supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures high‑quality experiences for patrons while meeting strict military and contract standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute daily operations for dining, beverage, recreation and entertainment services.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures and best practices to maintain efficiency and compliance.
• Supervise, train and mentor staff to deliver excellent service.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve offerings.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control and financial performance to meet revenue goals.
• Manage inventory of food, beverages, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are consistently met.
• Coordinate events with government representatives and respond to emergencies within one hour of notification.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and reviews.
• Promote activities through appropriate media channels to increase participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, hospitality, food services or a related field, OR at least three years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing food, beverage or recreation operations in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of government or military contract requirements.
• Ability to work on‑site in a remote location and be available for emergencies.
