Manufacturing Excellence Intern

About the role

Join Nestlé's Kenya factory as a Manufacturing Excellence Intern and support the team in driving World‑Class Manufacturing practices. You will work hands‑on with local leadership to apply Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) methodologies, helping the plant become a Lean Enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and managing the factory’s strategic plan aligned with market and function priorities.
• Translate priorities into operational plans (OMP) and cascade measures throughout the factory.
• Coach and train factory leadership on NCE competencies such as GA, FI, LVS, and AM.
• Promote cross‑factory knowledge sharing and ensure consistent understanding of NCE pillars.
• Lead specific improvement projects, providing hands‑on support to accelerate results.
• Apply NCE simplification principles, routines (7+4), and tools to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Support rollout of digital tools and adherence to raw and pack material stock policies.
• Collaborate with strategic and global procurement to maintain strong supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum of 1 year of factory experience.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to influence across functions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) methodologies.
• Familiarity with manufacturing competencies (GA, FI, LVS, AM).
• Understanding of stock management systems and digital tools in a factory setting.
