Marketing Assistant (Full-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Marketing Assistant to support the commercial team of Databand Consultants Limited in Nairobi. The role involves assisting with the planning and execution of campaigns, maintaining the company’s online presence and providing administrative support to drive business growth in the healthcare sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and delivery of company campaigns, promotions, events, and customer communications.
• Draft and update routine business content such as presentations, product information, announcements, customer emails and promotional materials.
• Maintain the company’s online presence by updating approved content and scheduling regular communications.
• Support the preparation of sales and business development materials.
• Record incoming enquiries and ensure they are passed to the appropriate person for follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate customer and prospect information within company systems, including contact records and activity notes.
• Help prepare customer lists, contact groups and campaign records, and coordinate routine communications to prospects and existing customers.
• Monitor incoming messages through agreed channels and direct them appropriately.
• Assist in coordinating meetings, webinars, exhibitions and other business events.
• Prepare basic activity reports for management, covering enquiry volumes, response rates, customer activity and campaign results.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of experience in marketing or related functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good written communication skills for drafting business content and customer communications.
• Capability to support sales and business development teams with material preparation.
• Basic research skills on customers, competitors and market developments.
• Ability to liaise with external suppliers such as designers, printers and event providers when instructed.
