Part‑Time Hotel Auditor – Nairobi

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Hotel Auditor to join our team in Nairobi’s Westlands area. The role involves conducting operational and financial audits across all hotel departments to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform periodic operational and financial audits of Front Office, Food & Beverage, Stores, Procurement, Housekeeping and Finance departments.
• Verify daily revenue reports, cash reconciliations, discounts, voids, complimentary transactions and credit sales.
• Audit night audit reports, POS systems, billing records and guest folios for discrepancies.
• Conduct regular stock audits, monitor inventory movements and identify variances, wastage or pilferage.
• Assess internal controls, procurement processes and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Reconcile cash, bank deposits, revenues, supplier accounts and inventory records; support budget monitoring and variance analysis.
• Prepare detailed audit reports, present findings to management and follow up on corrective actions.
• Advise departmental heads on process improvements and support continuous operational efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 36 months (3 years) of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of hotel operations and financial procedures.
• Ability to work independently on a part‑time basis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems for audit and reconciliation tasks.
