Payroll Tax Associate

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Payroll Tax Associate to join our Nairobi office. In this full‑time position you will ensure accurate federal and state tax compliance for our clients within the PEO industry, handling end‑to‑end payroll tax processing and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Research legal issues and monitor filing positions to guarantee compliance with local, federal and international tax laws.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll tax returns via e‑file, batch agent files and EFT.
• Perform payroll tax reconciliations, support corporate tax audits and verify data accuracy across all filings.
• Resolve complex tax notices, discrepancies and client inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with internal departments on new projects to ensure proper tax liability coverage.
• Provide high‑level customer service and guidance to clients on payroll tax matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + year experience in payroll, tax or a related field (PEO experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent; Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level).

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
