Senior Grants and Compliance Officer – DREEM Initiative

About the role

The DREEM Phase II initiative seeks a Senior Grants and Compliance Officer to lead the management of grant portfolios and ensure regulatory compliance across programmes supporting refugee‑displaced and host‑community youth in Africa. Based in Nairobi, you will work closely with Refugee‑Led Organizations and WUSC partners to deliver technical assistance and monitor financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full grant lifecycle, from proposal review to final reporting.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, internal policies, and Kenyan regulations.
• Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial statements for multiple projects.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building support to Refugee‑Led Organizations and implementing partners.
• Coordinate with the DREEM programme team to align grant activities with strategic objectives.
• Maintain accurate records in grant management systems and produce regular compliance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in grants management and compliance, preferably in the international development sector.
• Demonstrated experience working with NGOs, refugee‑focused programmes, or similar multi‑partner environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with a track record of managing large‑scale budgets.
• Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
