Senior Product Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join a fast‑growing regulatory‑tech company based in the UK. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to transform complex policy data into reliable, AI‑enhanced features that help businesses stay compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers to translate business needs into functional features and deliver them end‑to‑end.
• Develop and maintain Python backend services, SQL‑based data pipelines, and RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to the TypeScript front‑end, ensuring seamless integration of new capabilities.
• Integrate new data sources, improve data freshness, coverage and quality.
• Design, test and optimise AI‑driven retrieval and analysis workflows.
• Identify technical debt, enhance testing, monitoring, architecture and deployment practices.
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents to keep the platform highly reliable.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineer comfortable taking ownership of loosely defined problems.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and sound technical judgement.
• Ability to quickly become productive in unfamiliar areas of the stack.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic approach to delivering production‑ready solutions.
