Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex construction and system integration projects for marine surveillance technology in East Africa, primarily Kenya. The role will coordinate design consultants, subcontractors and internal teams through design development, construction readiness, installation and acceptance, and act as the design manager/coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects and workstreams, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and customer outcomes.
• Maintain project governance, including delivery reviews, action tracking, decision logs and reporting cycles.
• Oversee integrated planning, schedules, milestones, critical paths, RAID, change control and delivery forecasts.
• Coordinate Kenya delivery across customers, government, regulatory bodies, ICP, consultants, subcontractors and internal SRT interfaces.
• Maintain regular site presence, travelling frequently to project locations to review progress and confirm construction readiness.
• Act as design manager/coordinator, overseeing design consultant deliverables, review cycles, comment responses and approvals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex construction and system integration projects, preferably multi‑site programmes.
• Experience with civil builds such as communication towers or data centres and international construction environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work with in‑country partners, design consultants, customers, government and local subcontractors in East Africa or similar regions.
• Strong capability to review contractor programmes, identify schedule risk and drive recovery planning.
• Experience acting as design manager or coordinator, handling technical queries, approvals and procurement interfaces.
