SRHR Technical Officer

About the role

The SRHR Technical Officer will work under the Center Court Africa project to promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) at community level through sport‑based activities. Based in Nairobi County, the officer will create demand for SRHR services and support delivery in target sub‑counties, focusing on adolescents, young people and broader community members.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for project implementation and SRHR service delivery through static facilities and outreach models.
• Promote integration of family planning and reproductive health services into HIV/TB clinics and other service points.
• Strengthen inter‑facility referral pathways for family planning, including faith‑based facilities.
• Support training and mentorship sessions for SRHR Champions.
• Organise and support sports tournaments, bonanzas and intergenerational community dialogues on SRHR in Dagoretti Sub‑County.
• Facilitate career guidance, life‑skills and mentorship sessions for adolescent mothers.
• Link adolescent and young‑mother support groups to financial institutions and government safety‑net programmes.
• Coordinate quarterly sports stakeholder meetings with clubs, businesses, federations and talent academies.
• Undertake regular field activities with implementing partners, providing technical and mentoring support to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
• Assist the SRHR Programme Specialist in planning, review meetings and workshops, and support advocacy and communication processes.

Required profile

• Experience in community‑based SRHR program implementation.
• Proven ability to engage adolescents and youth through sport‑based outreach.
• Knowledge of integrating family planning, HIV and TB services.
• Strong facilitation skills for training, mentorship and stakeholder meetings.
• Ability to work collaboratively with implementing partners, local authorities and community groups.
