Store Keeper Assistant

About the role

The Store Keeper Assistant supports daily store operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. This full‑time position works closely with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain accurate records and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and store goods in designated locations for easy retrieval.
• Receive incoming items, verify quantity and quality against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
• Pack and prepare orders for dispatch to internal departments and branch locations.
• Arrange returns of damaged or incorrect items.
• Rotate stock using the FIFO method to manage items nearing expiry.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain housekeeping, safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
• Perform any other relevant duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Stores Keeping from a recognised institution.
• Registered with a professional body (KISM) and in good standing.
• Good understanding of procurement regulations and statutory requirements.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Experience using ERP systems.

• Competitive salary ranging from KSh 15,000 to KSh 30,000 per month.
