About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to join Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) across all grades and subject areas. As a classroom educator, you will work under the direction of the school principal to create engaging learning experiences that support the intellectual, social and emotional growth of every student.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and adapt instruction for diverse learners in accordance with MCPS curriculum and policies.
• Supervise students in various school settings and monitor their academic progress.
• Maintain accurate records, evaluate student outcomes and use data analysis to inform instruction.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
• Collaborate with administrators, colleagues and central office staff to support school initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid Maryland State Department of Education teacher certification in the appropriate field.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MCPS curriculum, policies and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
