UH Manager

About the role

The United Nations Housing (UH) Manager will lead the administration and daily operation of unaccompanied housing services for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. Reporting to senior logistics, the role ensures compliance with government regulations, proper use of appropriated funds, and high-quality support for service members and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day UH operations, including budgeting, inventory control and fund administration.
• Maintain and update training certifications such as PAY.GOV, EBILLING, Enterprise Military Housing (eMH), CNIC UH related training and the Housing Learning Center.
• Manage financial transactions and payment systems within PAY.GOV and EBILLING, ensuring transactional compliance.
• Process and report data accurately in the Enterprise Military Housing system.
• Provide on-site presence during regular government hours and respond within one hour to after-hours support requests.
• Monitor housing facilities, resolve operational issues, and uphold standards of safety and habitability.
• Lead, train and mentor housing staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Perform additional duties consistent with the position’s level and scope.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience administering unaccompanied housing operations, appropriated funds and inventory management.
• At least one year of post-secondary education.
• Valid passport with at least one year of remaining validity and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
