Waitstaff – Voi

About the role

The Waitstaff position at Java House Africa Ltd in Westlands involves delivering a high‑quality dining experience to guests. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling payments, and ensuring the restaurant maintains its hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Present menu options, suggestive sell based on guest preferences, and inform guests of daily specials.
• Take accurate orders, deliver them to tables, and ensure timely service.
• Handle cash transactions, maintain POS accuracy, and manage shift float.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and notify the manager when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, and overall restaurant area.
• Process inventory orders, receive deliveries, and update the POS system.
• Coordinate with delivery aggregators, pack orders, and dispatch them efficiently.
• Report any maintenance or IT issues to the Area Manager and complete end‑of‑shift duties.

• Ability to work under pressure and for long hours.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Point of Sale (POS) operation and cash handling.
