About the role
A client in the hospitality industry is recruiting an Assistant Account Controller to join its team in Nairobi. The role covers day-to-day accounting support, financial reporting and compliance within the hotel and restaurant sector.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Monitor budgets and help with cost control measures
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Support payroll processing and statutory deductions
- Assist in audit preparation and documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Required profile
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hospitality accounting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
Required skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
