Entry-Level Accounts Assistant (Casual)

About the role

Trident Group of Companies, through Trident Plumbers Ltd, is hiring a temporary (casual) Accounts Assistant based at its Nairobi head office. The role reports to the Finance Manager and provides data entry and clerical support to the finance department during high-volume periods and month-end close.

Key responsibilities

• Log supplier invoices, expense receipts and payment vouchers in ERPNext.
• Perform high-volume data entry accurately and on time.
• Sort, scan and file physical financial documents.
• Maintain organised records for Trident Plumbers and Astral Industries.
• Match purchase orders with goods receipt notes and invoices.
• Assist with basic account reconciliations and flag mathematical discrepancies in vendor statements.
• Help clear backlogs during month-end close and support HR and administrative workflows as needed.
• Report missing or incomplete documents promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or certificate in a business-related course; ongoing CPA or accounting studies highly preferred.
• Previous experience with data entry and basic accounting tasks.
• Certificate of good conduct.
• Flexible availability for short-term or casual assignments.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERPNext or ability to learn new software quickly.
• High attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
