Assistant Relationship Manager – Corporate & Commercial Banking

About the role

DIB Bank Kenya Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank, is recruiting an Assistant Relationship Manager for its Corporate and Commercial Banking segment in Nairobi. The role develops sales plans in line with the overall Corporate and Commercial Business Plans, manages customers in this segment and ensures product revenue and profitability targets are met or exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Use a consultative selling approach to understand customers' businesses and anticipate their needs, then match them with product capabilities through tailored presentations and proposals.
• Negotiate and renegotiate terms and conditions with customers to maximise revenue and profitability.
• Identify cross-selling and referral opportunities across other banking lines.
• Provide structured solutions for customers' cash management needs.
• Monitor, track and report sales activity periodically and take action to meet sales targets.
• Assist product management and development in strategic product rollouts and support product and market intelligence for new products.
• Help resolve customer service issues and ensure high-quality post-sales service.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field from a recognised university.
• At least five years of banking experience, including at least three years in business development for the corporate/commercial segment.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial banking products.
• Knowledge of Sharia foundations and principles of Islamic finance is an added advantage.
