Assistant Residential Manager – Norwich Region

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive, and serene environment for residents of Springbrook community homes in the Norwich region. This position blends direct care, staff supervision, and program coordination to ensure each resident’s needs are prioritized.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise Director Support Professionals alongside the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, weekly meetings, and trip logistics.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Ensure accurate shift documentation and facilitate information transfer between shifts.
• Oversee active programming, daily planners, goals, and service delivery.
• Conduct medication audits, MAR checks, prescription orders, and data entry.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and assistance with medical appointments.
• Attend required training, staff development, and meetings; provide on‑call oversight during work hours.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training Program.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet physical requirements (lift 50 lb independently).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Springbrook vehicles.
