Cluster Director of People & Culture

About the role

The Cluster Director of People & Culture leads the human‑resources strategy for Fairmont The Norfolk and Fairmont Mara Safari Club. Reporting to the Cluster General Manager and sitting on the executive committees, this senior leader champions Fairmont and Accor values while shaping a high‑performance, inclusive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Cluster and Unit General Managers and executive committees on all strategic People & Culture matters.
• Develop and execute the annual Cluster People & Culture Business Plan aligned with business priorities.
• Provide expert advice on policies, employment matters, organisational effectiveness and Kenyan Labour Law.
• Leverage People & Culture data and analytics to identify trends and support informed business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with Fairmont, Accor standards, company policies and applicable legislation.
• Lead, coach and develop the People & Culture team to deliver high‑quality service across both hotels.
• Drive colleague engagement, culture, DE&I, communication, recognition and welfare initiatives.
• Monitor feedback and engagement survey results and implement appropriate action plans.
• Oversee colleague facilities, benefits and engagement activities in line with brand standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Deep understanding of Kenyan labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategic People & Culture plans.
• Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior executives.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
