Human Resource Manager

About the role

We are a growing furniture retail business seeking an experienced, hands‑on Human Resource Manager to lead our people strategy and HR operations across multiple branches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with business objectives and branch expansion.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, workforce planning and onboarding for sales, warehouse, finance and management roles.
• Design and manage performance management systems, KPIs and performance improvement plans.
• Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary cases and ensure compliance with Kenyan employment legislation.
• Oversee payroll inputs, leave administration and maintain accurate HR records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 8 years progressive HR experience, with at least 3‑5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan employment laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience managing HR across multiple branches or geographically dispersed teams.
