Communications and Engagement Officer for Youth Employment in Agriculture

About the role

The YEFFA Communications and Engagement Officer will lead communications, branding and storytelling for the Youth Employment for Food and Agriculture (YEFFA) programme. Based within the Portfolio Management Hub, the role ensures AGRA’s youth employment narrative is consistently presented across ten YEFFA countries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a YEFFA‑specific communications and visibility plan aligned with AGRA’s brand architecture and Mastercard Foundation guidelines.
• Manage YEFFA communications, partner engagement and media relations to raise programme visibility.
• Curate success stories and coordinate media outreach across digital, national and continental platforms.
• Strengthen AGRA’s youth employment brand while maintaining a distinct, youth‑centered voice.
• Collaborate with the Communications, Innovation, and External Affairs (CIEA) division to ensure strategic alignment with institutional communication objectives.

Required profile

• Experience in communications, branding or storytelling, preferably within agriculture or youth‑focused programmes.
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on youth audiences.
