About the role
Amentum is seeking a Crane Operator / Rigger to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves moving materials safely, performing inspections, and configuring rigging equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Move materials and mobile crane to various locations safely.
- Inspect and maintain crane and rigging components, selecting and configuring cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, shackles, and sheaves according to load requirements.
- Interact closely with the customer to coordinate material movements.
- Perform site surveys, task analysis, and lift calculations.
Required profile
- Minimum one year of experience as a crane rigger.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas.
- Ability to pass contract medical requirements and meet deployment standards.
- Proficiency in English (read, speak, comprehend).
