About the role
Peponi's is a contemporary Neapolitan‑style pizza restaurant in Nairobi looking for a motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join its fast‑paced kitchen team. You will work on‑site full‑time, supporting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef while delivering high‑quality pizza and prep across your assigned station.
Key responsibilities
- Run your designated section (pizza, prep, or other) to Peponi's standards.
- Support the Chef de Partie and Head Chef during daily service.
- Prepare and maintain mise en place for each shift.
- Follow standard operating procedures for dough, prep, and station setup.
- Assist in training and guiding commis chefs.
- Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide additional help with dough, prep, and oven work as needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or a strong commis ready to step up.
- Passion for Neapolitan pizza and willingness to develop craft.
- Reliable, organized, and committed to cleanliness.
- Excellent team communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
