Office Cleaner and Chef

About the role

We are looking for a reliable professional to keep our office environment spotless while also preparing nutritious meals for staff. The role combines daily cleaning duties with the management of a small staff lunch service, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food quality.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all office areas, including workstations, meeting rooms, reception, kitchens, washrooms, corridors and common spaces; sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and sanitize surfaces.
• Empty waste bins, manage waste segregation and replenish consumables such as tissue, soap and cleaning supplies.
• Prepare, cook and serve daily meals, develop menus in consultation with staff, and keep accurate records of meals sold.
• Purchase or coordinate procurement of food ingredients and kitchen supplies, monitor stock levels and minimise waste.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensure food is stored and handled according to safety regulations, and keep a valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Assist with refreshments for meetings and events, and support general office initiatives related to cleanliness and well‑being.
• Report maintenance issues, damages or safety concerns to management promptly.

Required profile

• KCSE Certificate or equivalent; a certificate in Food Production, Catering or Hospitality is an advantage.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Minimum two years of experience in cleaning, catering or food preparation, preferably in an office or small canteen setting.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and follow health and safety procedures.
