Early Engagement Sales Leader – Oilfield Services & Equipment

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced Early Engagement Sales Leader to drive strategic opportunities for its Oilfield Services & Equipment portfolio in Kenya. You will act as the primary point of contact for large, cross‑product projects, guiding customers from discovery through to qualified deals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities across oilfield services and equipment.
• Lead customer discovery sessions and articulate business value of Baker Hughes solutions.
• Influence account strategies and pursuit plans to maximize growth.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Improve conversion rates from opportunity identification to qualified deals.
• Strengthen executive‑level relationships and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Marketing or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas sales and customer engagement, focusing on large, cross‑product projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of one or more Oilfield Services & Equipment product lines.
• Proven strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills at executive level.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and within teams.
