About the role
Meru University of Science & Technology is seeking entry‑level ICT Technicians (Technician III) to support its main campus computer laboratories. The role involves managing, maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment to ensure a reliable learning environment for staff and students.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, maintain and troubleshoot computer laboratories.
- Provide technical support to academic and administrative users.
- Ensure hardware and software are up‑to‑date and fully functional.
- Assist in setting up lab equipment for teaching and research activities.
Required profile
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field.
- Ability to work in an academic environment and adhere to institutional policies.
- Registration with a relevant professional body where applicable.
Required skills
- CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent).
- ICDE certification (or equivalent).
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or MCSE.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
- CISA certification.
- Data Analytics certification.
