Evaluation Consultant – Terminal Evaluation for UNEP/GEF Project

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) are seeking an experienced Evaluation Consultant to carry out the terminal evaluation of the project “Creation of Conkouati Dimonika PA Complex and Development of Community Private Sector Participation Model to Enhance PA Management”. The assignment will span up to 50 working days within a six‑month period and will culminate in a concise evaluation report.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare an Inception Report representing 30 % of the total deliverable, outlining methodology and work plan.
• Develop a Draft Evaluation Report (40 % of total) incorporating preliminary findings and analysis.
• Produce a Final Evaluation Report (30 % of total) delivering comprehensive conclusions, recommendations and lessons learned.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to gather relevant data and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting terminal evaluations for UNEP, GEF or similar environmental programmes.
• Strong background in protected‑area management and community‑private‑sector participation models.
