Disaster Risk Finance Consultant – Climate Resilience (12.5 months)

About the role

The Disaster Risk Finance Consultant will support the coordination, implementation, monitoring and resource mobilisation for the Today and Tomorrow Initiative (TTI). Working under the Climate Resilience Global Practice Team, the consultant will collaborate with the Innovative Finance for Children team and other UNICEF divisions to advance climate action and disaster risk finance for children.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate TTI activities across headquarters, regional and country offices.
• Meet donor reporting requirements and ensure accountability.
• Provide technical assistance and build capacity of country offices.
• Maintain and update TTI knowledge systems for accessibility.
• Develop evidence base and mobilise resources to scale the initiative.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in sustainability, climate science, international development, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in programme management, donor engagement and technical guidance on climate action, disaster risk reduction, sustainability or innovative financing.
• Proven ability to design work plans, knowledge‑management strategies and technical guidance materials.
• Experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder meetings and facilitating collaboration.
