Global Foundations Manager

About the role

As Global Foundations Manager you will diversify Welthungerhilfe’s funding base and strengthen long‑term philanthropic partnerships to advance the Zero Hunger mission. The role combines partnership development, internal collaboration and strategic fundraising across country offices.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and advance strategic foundation partnership opportunities with country offices.
• Build and manage strong foundation prospect pipelines aligned with programmatic priorities.
• Support country teams in donor outreach, engagement planning and partnership positioning.
• Develop high‑quality pitches, concept notes and proposals together with technical and program teams.
• Facilitate exchange of best practices and market insights across offices.
• Coordinate globally to ensure aligned relationship management and coherent donor engagement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred in a relevant field.
• At least five years of progressive experience in foundation fundraising or institutional philanthropy, preferably in an international NGO.
• Proven ability to secure six‑ and seven‑figure grants and manage long‑term donor relationships.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills to translate programmatic information into compelling funding propositions.
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with donor relationship management systems such as Salesforce.
