Global Foundations Manager

About the role

As Global Foundations Manager you will diversify Welthungerhilfe’s funding base and strengthen long‑term philanthropic partnerships to advance the mission of Zero Hunger. The role combines partnership development, internal collaboration and strategic fundraising across country offices.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and advance strategic foundation partnership opportunities with country offices.
• Build and manage strong foundation prospect pipelines aligned with programmatic priorities.
• Support country teams in donor outreach, engagement planning and partnership positioning.
• Develop high‑quality pitches, concept notes, proposals and partnership propositions.
• Facilitate exchange of best practices and market insights across offices.
• Coordinate globally to ensure aligned relationship management and coherent donor engagement.
• Support due‑diligence processes and risk assessments in line with WHH policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in International Relations, Nonprofit Management, Development Studies, Marketing or Communications preferred.
• At least five years of progressive experience in foundation fundraising or institutional philanthropy, preferably within an international NGO.
• Proven ability to secure six‑ and seven‑figure grants and manage long‑term donor relationships.
• Strong analytical and strategic skills to translate programmatic information into compelling funding propositions.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking and written English skills.

Required skills

• Experience with donor relationship management systems such as Salesforce or equivalent.
