Grant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

About the role

The Grant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will provide technical support for program planning, monitoring, and reporting across multiple counties in Kenya. The role involves designing monitoring frameworks, supporting data collection tools, and ensuring compliance with donor and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement monitoring frameworks to track program objectives and outcomes.
• Develop and maintain log frames, M&E plans, indicators, and detailed implementation schedules.
• Coordinate digital data collection systems (ODK, Kobo) and GIS mapping of program coverage.
• Lead field monitoring visits, compile management reports, and ensure timely dissemination of data to stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of proposals, assessments, and research aligned with donor expectations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation within an international NGO.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi‑cultural environment and manage resources efficiently.
• Committed Christian able to provide spiritual leadership and uphold safeguarding policies.

Required skills

• Experience with mobile data‑collection platforms such as Open Data Kit (ODK) and KoboToolbox.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and statistical software (SPSS, Stata).
• GIS/RS mapping skills for program geographic coverage.
