Head of Engineering, Rewards

About the role

Moniepoint is building a next‑generation Rewards platform that will drive retention and engagement for millions of users across Africa. As Head of Engineering, Rewards you will lead the end‑to‑end development of this consumer‑facing product, shaping its architecture, performance and growth roadmap from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Rewards platform end‑to‑end, overseeing design, development, testing and deployment.
• Scale the engineering team from the current nine engineers to a multi‑product organization of 25+ members.
• Improve the performance and reliability of the existing cashback service.
• Partner with Growth, Sales and Marketing to define and ship new acquisition and retention features.
• Drive a culture of experimentation, A/B testing and data‑driven decision making.
• Ensure high‑quality user experiences across web and mobile channels.

Required profile

• Proven track record building and shipping direct‑to‑consumer products at scale.
• Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams and scaling organization size.
• Deep understanding of experimentation frameworks and A/B testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on expertise in front‑end and mobile engineering.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with product, growth and marketing teams.
