Historical Researcher – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a remote Historical Researcher to help improve AI models by crafting and evaluating history‑focused prompts. You will work 30‑40 hours per week, providing expert feedback that ensures factual accuracy and nuanced reasoning.

Key responsibilities

• Create advanced prompts covering ancient, medieval, modern, political, military, archaeological, and historiographic topics.
• Assess AI‑generated answers for factual correctness, logical consistency, completeness, and nuance.
• Identify hallucinations, outdated information, and edge‑case errors.
• Develop benchmark datasets and adversarial test cases to stress‑test the models.
• Provide evidence‑based feedback with reliable references.
• Collaborate with AI researchers to refine model performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in History or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of professional, research, or teaching experience in history.
• Excellent written English and strong analytical abilities.
• High attention to detail.
