About the role
The HR/Admin Intern will support routine human‑resources and administrative tasks while gaining practical experience in a humanitarian NGO environment. Working under the HR/Admin Manager and with day‑to‑day guidance from the HR/Admin Assistant, the intern will contribute to recruitment, documentation, and office coordination activities.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment processes, interview scheduling and staff onboarding coordination.
- Maintain and update staff personnel files in line with ACTED policies.
- File and archive HR documents both physically and electronically.
- Support the regular updating of leave trackers and staff databases.
- Prepare outbound correspondences for manager review before dispatch.
- Facilitate communication of HR information with field teams as needed.
- Arrange travel logistics, including flight bookings, airport pickups, visa follow‑up and accommodation.
- Track HR and administrative documentation and perform any other duties as required.
Required profile
- Recent graduate or final‑year student in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality and adherence to ACTED policies.
- Flexibility to adapt to operational needs and occasional extended hours.
