Interim HR Business Partner – Nairobi

About the role

The organisation is undergoing a period of growth and transformation and needs an experienced HR professional to strengthen its HR operations on an interim basis. Reporting to the Head of Human Resource and Administration, you will lead recruitment, employee‑relations and policy improvement initiatives for a 6‑month to 1‑year engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment for priority technical, operational and support roles, ensuring timely sourcing, screening, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Develop talent pipelines and improve recruitment turnaround times to support business continuity.
• Support workforce planning discussions with department heads to identify hiring priorities.
• Manage disciplinary processes, employee grievances, workplace investigations and other employee‑relations matters in line with Kenyan labour law.
• Provide HR advisory support to managers and staff, reviewing and recommending enhancements to existing HR policies and procedures.
• Assist the Head of HR in building scalable HR processes and performance‑management frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR business partnering, talent acquisition and employee‑relations within a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation and HR best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and influence HR service delivery.
