International Accountant – Roving (2 positions)

About the role

Trócaire is seeking two International Accountants on a roving basis to provide flexible finance support across its country programmes and global finance function. The role will help maintain robust financial operations during staffing gaps, heightened operational pressure, humanitarian responses, and key projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver operational finance support to country teams and HQ as needed.
• Strengthen day‑to‑day finance operations, financial reporting and budgeting.
• Ensure donor compliance, maintain internal controls and follow up on audit findings.
• Identify financial risks and work with colleagues to develop practical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with HQ and country teams to support effective programme delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered or Certified accountant.
• Significant experience in financial management within an international or NGO context.
• Strong judgement, flexibility and commitment to Trócaire’s values.
