About the role
The internship supports the finance and accounting department by assisting with financial reporting, invoice processing, and research activities. It is a remote position based in Nairobi, offering practical experience for students in finance or accounting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Support accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices and reconciling payments.
- Help with budgeting, forecasting and research on financial trends and regulations.
- Provide general administrative support on special finance projects.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Reliable laptop/computer, stable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and good written and verbal communication.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel (basic functions).
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP or Zoho Books.
