Island Room Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Island Room Manager to oversee daily operations of the Island Room on Diego Garcia, supporting a unique US Navy program. The role includes managing food service, beverage operations, recreation, and entertainment to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational processes, standards, and budgets for food, beverage, and entertainment services.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff, ensuring high‑performance outcomes and compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Plan and execute recreational events, coordinate vendor orders, and liaise with government representatives and stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, manage scheduling, handle emergencies, and maintain accurate documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of middle‑manager experience in a civilian commercial setting overseeing food, beverage, and recreation operations.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and customer service skills with ability to work under pressure.
• Valid passport, ability to obtain visas, pass medical and security requirements, and maintain facility credentials.
